In the game of poker , there are many variations, and one of the most notable of this poker game is the texas Holdem poker. To play well the game of texas holdem, one has to learn and understand its basic concept. Here are some of the most basic rules in this type of poker;

In Texas holdem game, the suits are equal in value. In a situation wherein the cards are equal in value a tie will be announced. One may have a Royal Flush if he has an Ace, a King , Queen, Jack, and Ten in the same suit at hand. However if the cards were not those that were being mentioned but sill five cards in succession of the same suit, it will be called a straight flush. In texas holdem game, ties sometimes occur. In a case wherein two players has both Straight Flushes, the player with the highest rank at the top of the sequence is declared the winner. We have also the Four of a Kind. This happens when a player gets four cards that have the same value and one side card. In case of a tie in this kind, the player that has the highest value in four of his cards win. However in community card games which can also have a four of a kind, the card with the highest value wins.

Still, in texas holdem game, a full house is considered to be one if it is consist of three cards with the same value,and two cards of different value. However, if two players are tied in Full House, the player with the highest three matching cards will win in texas holdem game.

A hand which is composed of five cards of the same suit is called a Flush. However if there is atie between two Flushes, the player with the highest card value is the winner. To get their ranks, if their first card has the same rank, then move to the next card, and so on and so forth.

A straight is called on five cards in sequence but not the same suit. Again if a tie exists in this texas holdem game, the player with the highest value of card at the top of the sequence wins the game. Always remember that an Ace can be used either on the top or on the bottom of the sequence, and this is the only card which can be used for that purpose alone.
